Folsom Europe Berlin 2014 : Day Three (Thu)
Having the apartment for our trip is really good, as it means that we can also save a bit of cash on eating out (as well as it working out cheaper for accommodation) by cooking meals in the fully equipped kitchen, and there’s a nice large dining table for 8 to sit around. We were expecting to be joined by our final house guests Vaughan and Richard in the evening, so Ben volunteered to cook everyone a meal, ready for when they arrived. This meant we needed to take a short trip to the supermarket, but luckily there was one nearby in the next street.
On our way to the market, we bumped into the Tskinpack who were just arriving at their hotel 2 doors down from the market. I was so pleased to see them, as its seemed ages since we saw them last in London, but was really pleased to see SuperPup (@superpup6901) which I think was definitely my pup side shining through, as I realised that I don’t have that many pup friends at all (if any) and being in the company of other pups makes me a whole lot more relaxed about getting into pup space. The three of them are also really nice guys, something I am drawn to on the scene. They were planning to get their heads down and head off to the skin event later on, so I thought that it would be cool to meet up with them, and I just happened to have my skin gear packed with me!
When we got back to the apartment, Chris, Ben and Tony wanted to head back off to the gym again, and ventured out – I stayed in the apartment catching up on some FTL time on my Ipad.
After getting changed into my skin gear for the day, and waiting for the others to arrive back, both Chris and Ben wanted to nip out to go shopping again, as they were both still looking for gear to wear over the weekend. So I tagged along with Tony to show them where the other shops were that we hadn’t explored yet, stopping once again at the coffee shop for a bit of lunch first!
Our first stop was to Boxer, a new fetishwear shop in Berlin, but a brand that has been going a long time in Barcelona. They sell leather and rubber but also a lot of sportswear and skin branded gear. Whilst there I was reminded of @deadliftbear again when a T-shirt pretty much branding his image reminded me of him. I would have purchased it, but they only had small sizes left 🙁 – I really hope that he can make next year, as its a great social event.
We then headed to the used military surplus store on the corner, where you’ll find a whole host of new and used gear. There was a lot of trying on of stuff here, and Tony and Ben ended up buying German cargo trousers. The only reason they liked them were the dual german-style zips resembling lederhosen. We met a couple of cute kiwi guys in the changing rooms too, who Ben would later meet in Connections.
And then onto SlingKing, which really sells harnesses, straps (a bit of leather clothing) but as the name suggests lots of slings and toys. It was in here I spotted something that I’ve wanted for a while, a leg harness, and it was blue so I purchased one to go with my plain leather jeans as they have no piping. Again, I may do a review of this later.
After here, Ben and Chris headed off back to the apartment (Ben wanted to start cooking for the evening) but I persuaded Tony to nip into Scheune with me so that we could see if the skin party was still on and have a quick drink before heading back. Sure enough, the event was still going and Scheune was a hell of a lot more busier than it had been for the puppy event! We re-met the Tskinpack in there too, with some of their other friends and had a really enjoyable few drinks chatting with them and catching up, and I got a good few cuddles from SuperPup which were more than appreciated!
We had to head off though around 7 to get back for the meal Ben was preparing, and to meet our final house-guests who were due to arrive around 8. Ben did everyone proud cooking a lovely meal that for me started with a soup (there was camembert for everyone else which I don’t like, followed by an amazing risotto, which filled us up for the night ahead.
We had all decided to go to Connections, the large club that is next-door to Prinzknect that I’d never been in. They were hosting the “Dungeon Party” as the first big club night of the official events, and at only 10 Euro to get in, we decided this would be a good place for us all to go, and see what the club was like.
On arrival at around 11pm, it was apparent that it was still quiet. The dancefloor and bar area upstairs were almost dead, and we headed downstairs to what appears to be a small playroom area and a bar, which was really busy and had quite a few people in it, but it was really difficult to find a space for the 8 of us to stand together and to take in our surroundings. There was a lone sling in there, being heavily used, toilets and a bit of seating around the edges of the playroom area, and we hung around in there at the bar for about an hour or so.
I was just about to get fed up of the place, when suddenly it felt like letting out time as the volumes of people around us dropped, and in a few minutes Ben realised that they had actually opened up a larger playing space at the back of the downstairs area that we didnt realise was there…. the playspace was brilliant, lots of different areas, more slings, and then a set of stairs going to a further playspace area upstairs we had missed altogether when we entered the bar. There were areas for piss play (with bath), a flogging area, private booths and large orgy matting area. With this new place-space open it changed completely the atmosphere in there, and we could all stand together and then go off and play in the various areas, so we stayed in there for a few more hours. I had gone out totally in dom headspace and dressed in my leathers, so I had a wander and had some fun. I think if we did this party again, the tip would be to go to the bars first and turn up after midnight.
